Life in India

I'm on a trip to India where I visited Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata during this time. Life in India is so different if you look at from day to day activities. I take a walk in the morning where people are enjoying a morning walk at the same time few shop keepers are getting ready with their businesses. I'm sure that there are thousands of people already on a trains (local/subways) travelling to work place. Life seems like a rat race here too for a few folks but for some of them is relaxing, taking a peaceful morning walks, excercising, performing yogas and chit-chatting early morning with their friends, sipping 'chay' on road side stalls, sitting quietly and enjoying the beautiful sunrise where the Sun peeps out from the mountains. It is just a magical experience. I have lived here about 24 years of my life but never noticed it as it was part of my normal life but now I look at from a different angle of 'a visitor' and same thing appears just amazing that I wish to capture on my camera and lock it for life...Just Astonishing...


In general, Indian people are very emotional, family oriented and God Fearing and I think best people on the face of this earth and I'm not just saying because I'm in an Indian but there is very important reason behind it, that is the actions/reactions of Indian people that are generated out of the same emotions. Take an example of the emotion 'Fear from terror attacks' Western countries took an action of "defending" and started a "WAR on TERROR" and acted into an pre-emptive attack on the middle eastern nations where as India is facing such terrorist attacks from generations but still no pre-emptive attack policies in place but continues to negotiate diplomatically with offending nations. I respect this action as a act of kindness and maturity. I believe "NO WAR IS WON BY ANYONE", especially this WAR that has no boundaries and fought on a religious basis. Tell me one thing - Why would whole nation to be suffered when some set of extremist are creating a havoc around the World (so called Jihadis). In this case we need to support the sensible people the offending nation and enable them to change the mindset of some set of extremist (Jihadis) and save the nation and this Globe. Once WAR is called upon everyone of that nation's suffers irrespective of their belief and reasoning. Now lets think about Action of "surrender" that will attain the peace and empower people to be eventually fearless , naturally peace may arrive after a lot of time and hardwork whereas "defence" will attain a short term so called peace, only for a few people but the fear of attack will always remain for them.

Lets getback to to main topic, Indian people are so busy with their day to day life that they have zero expectations from their government. He is so busy in his day to day life that he has no intention or time to dwell into items that has a potential to improve community's lifestyles and quality around. One does not invest time to aquire or raise awareness to benefit common people (Aam Adami). If there is a item that needs attention (such as pothole, dirt, garbage, stray dogs etc) one shall walk around it to find his way out and just forget it to resume his day to day life. He shall fulfill all his obligations from family, friends to the God but civic sense is not on his agenda. There are several reasons behind it, one of it may be that he might have tried at his level during his lifetime to do something about it... but could have seen a setback that somehow leads to "CORRUPTION" which I believe India's BIGGEST PROBLEM to deal with. I have simple solution to it... Just say and follow - "Say, No! to bribes." I believe complex problems usually have a very simple solutions...

I have experienced it many a times.. let me give you an example: If you initiate a discussion on CORRUPTION, most probably the statement you shall hear that "What can I do? Nothing!! One person can not do anything here.. No one cares!!!" If you pursue the mattter and discussion, he may agree that he wants to do something about it but no one there to back him up or support.
So everyone wants to do something but we are not just yet united - and we need to come closure on it... to raise the awareness and empower Indian Citizens. The facts is this country is oldest human country (5000+ years) and this country has created the most spiritual and humanatarian leaders for thousands of years that shared the secret that can lead people to the successful and peaceful life - examples are Buddha, Ashoka, Mahavir, Sai Baba,Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teressa, Bhagwaan Osho etc. Indians are special!!! Not because of their skin but their thoughts and ideas !!! Remember!! We have got freedom in India not by fighting wars but by "Surrender" That thought is just "out of the world" and execution of it "Unbelievable!!" - Mahatma Gandhi created a thoughts and billions followed it.. and this can ONLY happen in INDIA!!!

If you live in a democratic country, people is the biggest power and "Great power comes, Great responsibility!!!". I believe people of India is equally responsible to fight corruption and for that matter, everything that impacts life in India. If we "people of India" do not ask and raise awareness, most leaders will not deliver. I joke around sometimes, people go to Temple (the God) to ask/seek peace, wealth and prosperity so even the God does not deliver if you do not ask - how come humans will??? If Indian people stop asking leaders and holding them accountable on a day to day basis , leaders will just enjoy their time, make money, raise corruption and will not deliver... Afterall they are just humans...

My campaing mantra and my number one priority is to raise awareness about corruption, help stop corruption at all levels. You can help yourself here by just saying "No!!! to Bribes!!!"
